apple butter!

what to do with an overabundance of apples? 


obviously, shine one up all pretty.  and take a picture.  then...
have an ocd moment while counting for apple butter
eventually there were 18
peel, core, and chop 18 friggin apples.

dump them all in a crockpot and add brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and plenty of powdered ginger
cook on high for 3 hours.  stirring occasionally.  just like youre not supposed to with a crockpot.  and then when the apple chunks get all bloaty looking, [carefully!!] use an immersion blender and try not to spray apple sauce on the wall.  cook another 3 hours on low.
voila! 

pour into the tiniest jars ever [i didnt process cos im lazy and i have plenty of room in the fridge]
